Found the following quote in my inbox today from the good folks at Nightingale-Conant. I'm using it here to hammer home the previous post.
"Our subconscious minds have no sense of humor,
play no jokes and cannot tell the difference between
reality and an imagined thought or image. What we continually
think about eventually will manifest in our lives."

Terry, I have taken your advice here to heart and am concentrating on visualizing positive, not negative, outcomes in my life -- in a couple of areas (including your weight loss idea). I have tended to visualize my version of "worst case" (or certainly bad/dramatic) scenarios, sort of as a way to ward off the evil, as strange as that sounds. I'm now starting to realize it is better to focus on the positive and go for what you want.
And sometimes to just not to think anything and just "be"!
