Stephen Colbert and Bob Deans Slam Us Damn Yankees
Well, not really us Yankees. One hundred years ago, my family didn't live in this country. We were the sort of people Lou Dobbs wants to keep out.

Terry,
I, personally, am beyond sick about hearing about illegal "aliens" who are ruining this country and sapping us dry.
In my view, it's just a diversionary tactic by Bush et al to distract us from the *real* problems: Iraq and the deficit, among other issues.
I, like you, am Irish. My ancestors got here at the turn of teh 19th century.
As far as "aliens": I have met many Mexican and other immigrants, some legal, some otherwise. Most are God-fearing, hard-working people who contribute to this country far more than they take out.
Gee, I wonder who will do the gardening, dry-walling, work in slaughterhouses, etc.,work that so many so-called Americans simply will *not* do.
Unbelieveable. I think we as Americans have bigger fish to fry.
